The Dixie Giants (album release):

"California Trad Jazz & more. No trumpet required."

For the past 4 years the Sonoma County-based group, The Dixie Giants, have brought their own special version of New Orleans music to the Bay Area. Whether they're playing in clubs or on the streets, The Dixie Giants are infamous for radiating an infectious energy and always having a blast. While playing the music of their heroes (Louis Armstrong & The All Stars, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Thelonious Monk, Jackson 5), they have also been writing original music in an effort to continue to evolve the idiom of Traditional New Orleans Jazz.

Highway Poets:

At the core of the Poets it's 3 brothers from different mothers. With an eclectic sound they are being compared to the likes of Neil Young and Crazy Horse meets Mumford & Sons and the Black keys. They strive to push the barriers of Folk/Country, RnB and Rock music with fresh lyrics and a new take of an old form.

Oddjob Ensemble (debut ep release):

Oddjob Ensemble is Kalei Yamanoha's strange and wonderful brainchild, a consortium of multi-instrumentalists and specialists, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. With powerful ancient melodies and sounds that twist the ear into a delicious musical pretzel, they touch upon many different cultural influences and find unusual but fascinating combinations of traditional styles, jazz and progressive music. Largely instrumental, an evening with Oddjob Ensemble is a showcase of stunning musicianship, exotic tonalities and of course, shenanigans.
